Jessica, 19, NJ (but a large majourity of my life is spent in NYC), first semester jewelry design student
if you ever want to find me, i’m most likely in the diamond district or in FIT (90% chance in the studios if not in class).
Last year, I was a suffering business student at Rutgers University. I was able to convince my parents to let me transfer, and I went nutso when choosing my schedule this year and am currently taking 12 classes (21.5 credits) and loving every minute of it.
I’ll complain about my assignments and professors, but I know that everything that happens to me now will make me a bigger and better designer in the future.
I’m super busy all the time and (am no longer online that often) run to classes, sneak in the studio whenever I can and am entering all sorts of competitions available. The life I have now is everything I’ve ever dreamed of and more.


I’m an American born Chinese (half Taiwan, if you wanna get specific), deeply influenced by Asia’s trends and music. When I graduate, I want to move to Taiwan to live for a couple of years, move to Korea for a while, and then settle down in the tristate area where I’ll eventually be rich and famous so i can own a house with a large indoor swimming pool (for my turtles) that’s separated from my room and studio with a glass wall so I can see my turtles at any time.


I aspire to be a jewelry designer (of course) when I’m older. I don’t need to be rich and famous, but I want a job where I can make at least just enough to get by and to make more jewelry. I just want to walk down a street or a mall and see someone wearing a piece of jewelry that I designed and created ^^

My favourite artists of all time are Lead and INFINITE. You’ll see some jewelry I make are influenced by the infinity sign

I worked at a (REALLY BAD) sushi buffet for two weeks, a dunkin donuts over the summer and in the spring semester, will be the tech for the precollege jewelry class on saturdays (so if you’re a high schooler and in the area TAKE THE CLASS I’LL BE THERE)

Random fact about you: I get addicted to non-important things REALLY EASILY. and when I do, I obsess over it, which is why I avoided facebook games until this summer. my cousin made me play some games, and I went crazy. she played them for months and I surpassed her level in days ~ a week in all the games, even if they weren’t interesting. I completed (start to end) like all her (ipad) games within hours when she’s been playing for weeks and hadn’t finished. mangas and etc. need to be read/watched within the shortest time frame possible. my polar bear collection grew from one beanie baby to like idk how many bears now and I’ve only spent like $3 in total on it cos I like getting them as presents (birthday, christmas, etc.). and now this stupid tiny tower app. idk how long my friend’s been playing but she has like 50 floors and this is my 3rd day playing and I have like 23 already wtf am I doing. why can’t I do this for studying.
Hobbies/Interests: making things lmao. can’t draw very well, but I’m trying to improve
