red bean + milk popsicle- 紅豆牛奶冰棒 by noshowerfamily on Flickr.

HI
are you craving red bean ice cream?are you too poor (cos for me it’d like $5 for 4 pops or something)? MAKE YOUR OWN hooray!
i’m no recipe maker, so hopefully you have prior knowledge of cooking red beans or you can look online or ask your mama
what you need:
red beans (one bag)
pressure cooker (or cook it normally, it just takes longer)
vanilla (bean) ice cream- any brand
ice cream pop molds (optional)
what to do:
rinse the red beans
leave them in filtered water for a few hours (about 2~3)
cook them in the pressure cooker/cook them. be careful with the pressure cooker cos those are dangerous stuff. if you’re young, ask your parents to do this for you
when the beans are done, (my mom takes care of this part so my knowledge of know when they’re done and what to do after is limited SORRY she just told me it takes 5 minutes on the pressure cooker and about 2 hours cooked normally) add brown sugar, etc. etc. until they fit your taste (again, look up red bean recipes online or something, cos plain red beans taste NASTY). DON’T DRAIN THE WATER
get your tub of vanilla ice cream and a tupperware (relatively big, or several), and scoop until the container’s about 3/4 full. add a few spoonfuls of red bean (with the water that makes it better!) and start mixing
mix mix mix (this is why my arms are toned in the summer I SWEAR)
add more ice cream/red beans until you like the ratio and the container’s basically full   *too many red beans will make your ice cream rock hard. so if you’re looking for a creamy texture, use less
move onto the next container
keep mixing until you run out of ice cream or red bean (unless you wanna save some red beans for ㄘㄨㄚ 冰 yum)
mixy mixy mix
stick the containers back in the fridge (cap on) so it can freeze up OR
spoon some ice cream into the ice pop molds. don’t put too much or it’ll overflow and you’d have wasted your precious ice cream
enjoyyyyyyyyyyyy yumyumyum
a note *
I find that when I use ice pop molds, it’s really hard to pop them out. so either run it under hothot water so it sorta melts and pop them out all at once or .. something.before we had molds, we used ice cube trays, then popped them all out and stuck them in plastic baggies
so1 bag of red bean + 1 tub of ice cream (on sale)    $1.50 (?)          +          $2.50                 = $4 for about 12 pops? it’s been a while, but there should’ve been leftovers
1 box of 4 pops    $4.99 (?)
SURE it takes more effort and time to do BUT it’s fun! do it with your family or friends and eat them together they taste better that way :) and you can add more or less sugar/red beans according to your tasteand it’s prolly healthier EVEN BETTER
I decided to type this up because we’re cooking the red beans right now and tomorrow we’re gonna buy ice creammix mix mixif you have any questions PLEASE don’t ask me all I do is cut the bag of red beans open, wash them, (call my mom over), mix and eat v___v ASK MY MOM
when we buy the ice cream tomorrow and I mix mix instead of studying for my midterm on Tuesday I’ll post a picture okay :’)
